Count The Payoff

“Count the payoff before you pay another dollar blind.”

A balance tells you what you owe. It doesn’t tell you when it ends, or what the ending costs. This tool runs your debts month by month — every minimum paid, one extra payment aimed, freed minimums rolled forward — and counts the whole road: the debt-free date and the total interest, standing side by side.

The Debts

One row per debt — a card, a loan, a store balance, any of it. Blank rows don’t count. The count appears when every row you started is complete.

How the count runs: every month, interest is figured on each balance, every minimum is paid, and whatever is left of the month’s money — the extra payment plus the minimums of debts already gone — is aimed at the target debt in the order you picked. When a debt dies, its minimum rolls into the aim. The monthly money never changes; where it lands does.

Fill in a debt completely — name, balance, APR, minimum — and the count appears: the date and the interest, side by side. A date never stands alone here.

The sheet prints when at least one debt is fully entered and every row you started is complete — and it carries the debt-free date and the total interest side by side, same as the screen.
